A Full-Circle Maternity Session at Chestnut Grove Nature Preserve
Some sessions just hit you right in the heart—and this one did exactly that. I recently had the sweetest maternity session at Chestnut Grove Nature Preserve, and I’m still feeling all the warmth from it. The soft light, quiet trails, and wildflowers made it the perfect spot to celebrate this new season of life.
I first met Ada and Chris when I photographed their wedding at St. Michael’s Vineyard at Stone Gables Estate. So when they reached out to document their maternity session, I was so excited. Being able to witness and capture multiple chapters of someone’s story? That’s the kind of stuff that reminds me exactly why I do what I do.
This is their first baby, and you could feel the joy and anticipation in every moment. We talked about baby names, nursery plans, and how fast time is flying. You can just tell they’re going to be the most loving parents—and the way they looked at each other during the session? Ugh, my heart.
And the sweetest part? Their little one made their arrival just a week later! I can’t wait to see them again soon for their newborn session and continue documenting this beautiful journey they’re on.
If you’re looking for a maternity photographer in Lancaster, PA, or dreaming of a nature-filled session like this one, Chestnut Grove Nature Preserve is such a peaceful and beautiful location. You can also take a peek at Ada + Chris’s wedding day if you want to see where their love story began—it was just as magical.
And if you’re preparing for your own little one, Moms & Minis in Lititz is a great local shop for maternity and baby essentials. Whether it’s your first baby or your fifth, these moments are so worth documenting.
Let’s plan something meaningful and beautiful together.
